Gateway Splash Pad

While parts of the Gateway may be empty, you can always find people at the Splash Pad! After we visited the Hall of Breakfast, we let the kids run amok through the splash pad. It was a super hot day, so I’m all for water activities.

The splash pad is awesome because it’s always shooting out a good amount of water and since we don’t know the pattern it’s always a surprise when it’s going to go off.

There isn’t a whole bunch of natural shade, but there are lots of nice chairs and umbrellas provided for you. The grass around the splash pad is fake, so there are lots of sitting areas. I also like that it’s not a very busy street anymore, so it’s nice not to have to worry about cars zooming by.

There are bathrooms, but not super close, you’ll have to check the maps to find out where all of them are. (I don't actually know, we don't usually stay that long. But I know there are some in the Food Court, but that's a walk.) We typically park in the northern most parking lot, unless you get lucky and find some street parking for free.

I did see a bunch of food trucks out that day too. If there aren’t food trucks then you’ll just have to pack a snack or you can head on down to the food court. Any tips? Is it super busy at certain times?
